Who We Are

We Are Fully Qualified with the Institute of Charted Accountants

CAS Accountants first opened its doors in 2013, it is owned and operated by Craig Shirley, Craig brings over 15 years of public accounting practice and expertise. CAS Accountants are fully qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia & New Zealand and are registered tax and ASIC agents.


The team at CAS Group Accountants really are second-to-none. Whenever we have needed advice, they’ve been there for us to provide invaluable real-world experience. Craig is articulate, incredibly trustworthy and has a keen attention to detail when completing our financial documents as required.

Additionally, Craig and his team are always very accommodating around our busy schedules, and when ad hoc advice is sought we have always found them to be incredibly helpful – providing great context on their rationale and how a subsequent decision was reached. Meet Our Team 

Craig Shirley | Director

Craig has worked as a public accountant for over fifteen years and has developed a passion for helping his clients achieve their business and wealth creation goals. He believes that providing outstanding customer service is a key to his success. His approach combines fast and responsive service with an emphasis on giving his clients the best and timely advice to help his clients achieve their desired goals.

Joe Elisha | Accountant

Joe completed a Bachelor of Business Accounting at RMIT and is a member of CPA Australia as well as a Fellow of the National Tax Accountants Association.

He has been in practice since 1989 and has gained invaluable experience servicing and guiding a multitude of clients spread across many sectors. Joe has always prided himself on offering personalised service to his clients and that is more difficult to find these days.

Outside of work Joe is a keen table tennis player and loyal follower of the Western Bulldogs.

Melissa Mason  | Accountant

Melissa joined our team in mid-2023 and brings over 20 years of experience as an accountant in both Public Practice and Industry. Her education includes a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University, and she is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.

In her time as an accountant, Melissa has developed a passion for Tax, more specifically Personal, Small Business and Self-Managed Superannuation. She loves getting to know her clients, and ultimately helping them achieve their goals.

After work, in between chauffeuring her two daughters around, she can be found at the beach with her family and supporting her beloved Geelong Cats!

Sheryl Reddaway  | Accountant

Sheryl has been working with us for 25 years and is dedicated to customer service. Her continued commitment to her role has helped Sheryl to work closely with our clients over the years to reach their goals and further their businesses. She believes the practice has been able to facilitate this by providing a professional but friendly and supportive environment to anyone who walks through the door. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a big fan of AFL (Go Pies!).

Allie Nakis  | Client Services

Allie is a recent addition to our team and our new receptionist. She has an extensive background in customer service and enjoys interacting with people. Before her current position, Allie was a client services assistant at a busy financial services office in the CBD. She enjoys the change to a suburban practise and is looking forward to building lasting relationships with all our clients. She’s also currently studying Bookkeeping in her spare time, juggling her work and busy family life at home with her two young children.
